Daha sonra İngiliz bir şirketin sponsorluğunda tabii Gertrude Bell’in Osmanlı padişahı Abdulhamitten izin alarak yaptığı kazılar başladı. Hatta o kazılarda Cerablustan çıkan bir tarihi bir kılıç hediye ettiği rivat edilir. Bu İngiliz şirket bilgiyi doğrulamadım ama Gertrude Bell babasının demir şirketi olduğunu düşünüyorum.
